Emha Belladonna, the Feral Miqo'te

Feel free to ask any questions you want about Emha! I adore talking about her to anyone who will listen XD

What has taken Emha the longest to practice to get good (or decent) at? What skills does she value the most?

What are the favorite places Emha has been and what made them so memorable to visit?

Using a sword was something that Emha really struggled with for a while. She wasn't used to how heavy blades could be and fighting that up close and personal with an enemy was something that she needed to get used to, but it was a challenge that she was more than happy to tackle! As for the skill that she values the most...It's a toss up between her healing magic (Conjurer) and her love for dancing. Emha is very protective of the people she loves so having the ability to heal them is something she truly values, but dance is one of the only things she remembers about her mother and thus dancing is very special to Emha because it lets her feel closer to her mom.

Ooooooo Emha's favorite places hmmm...Well she loves Gridania because of the fact that she spent the last 7-ish years (She was 15 when she got to Eorzea!) running around the Twelveswood like the feral Miqo'te she is! It was only after she turned 23 that she felt confident enough to head out exploring. So the Twelveswood is special to her. Emha also loves Limsa because there are pirates and she thinks they're so cool! Otherwise I Thavnair would have to be one of her favorite places because its so peaceful and colorful!

So in that AU, how did she end up with Lahabrea?

Oooo a very fun question! So the answer to that question kind of has two parts to it. The first part is that in the days before the Sundering Persephone (Emha's unsundered self) was actually married to Lahabrea! She was his second wife, and they loved each other dearly. This then feeds into "modern" day Emha who looks almost exactly the same as Persephone, save for her cat features. Thus Lahabrea knew on sight that Emha was the shard of his sundered wife and it actually causes him to have a bit of a crisis because due to him possessing Thancred he actually gets a chance to know Emha and comes to care for her as her own person. 

Emha, of course, had no idea very a while that the person she was talking to and flirting with wasn't Thancred but when its revealed she's actually left with a lot of mixed feelings and heartache that only gets worse when Thancred (who is a lot more aware during the time of his possession in my AU) lets her know that Lahabrea never lied to her emotionally. He did a lot of shitty things but he did care for her. Its not until after the Vault in Heavensward that any real progression in their relationship is made, in which Lahabrea visits her after Haurchefants death to offer comfort, and its a moment where they both set aside their duties and are just together. A very sweet moment before Emha has to head out to stop Thordan and Emha stops Lahabrea from being turned into fuel for a Primal its also the moment Lahabrea decides to tell Emha that he loves her and its just ugh


From there it's a lot of work and being open and honest with each other. It's very very cute.

So why "the feral" in her descriptor? Just how much of her behavior is that feral nature and how much of it is her trying to learn to be more civilized? (Or is that a lovingly affectionate joke nickname?)

Is manipulating aether something that Emha finds herself good at? Does she have a preference for certain elements if she does manipulate aether and use magic?

So the title of "feral" is a mix of things, its a bit of a joke between me and a friend of mine when we talk about the AU, and then its also a bit of a joke within the AU between a few characters because of how Emha lived her life. By the time ARR starts, Emha has spent the last nearly ten years in the Twelveswood almost completely on her own staying as far away from civilization as possible. Thus she is no longer used to society (there are other reasons for this outside of the last decade-ish, Emha's childhood was awful). She is trying to learn though, its just slow going unfortunately. 


Manipulating aether is something that Emha finds herself quite good at! And her preferred element is fire, which also happens to be the first element she ever used; which was completely by accident at the age of fifteen!
